Graphcore is seeking a Graduate Software Engineer to join the Drivers and Utilities team within the System Software group. This team is responsible for developing kernel and user-space software that maximizes the performance and utility of Graphcore's unique hardware. The role involves close collaboration with the software engineering team developing the Poplar SDK and with silicon and hardware engineers to fully exploit the capabilities of Graphcore's IPU solution.

Key responsibilities include writing code to Graphcore standards, ensuring appropriate unit tests are created, participating in code reviews, and engaging in Scrum ceremonies. The role also involves manually testing code, maintaining the Continuous Integration system, and contributing to technical design discussions with team members.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. Previous experience with low-level software, including embedded or device drivers, is essential. A basic understanding of electronics, the ability to read schematics and datasheets, and introductory experience with languages such as C, C++, or Python are required. Familiarity with Continuous Integration systems like Jenkins and experience using Git for source code management are also necessary.
