This internship offers university students hands-on experience through project-based work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with exposure to mentorship, networking, and professional development opportunities.

The Government Relations Intern will support the Government Relations team by conducting research, analysis, and communications related to public policy, government affairs, and the legislative and regulatory environment. Key responsibilities include monitoring legislative, regulatory, and policy developments relevant to the company and its industry, summarizing key developments from congressional, executive branch, agency, and other government activities, and organizing information related to government stakeholders, policymakers, agencies, industry organizations, and other relevant groups. The intern will also assist with tracking and analyzing proposed legislation, regulations, policies, and other government actions, support the development of policy briefs, issue summaries, presentations, internal readouts, and other government relations materials, and attend or listen to hearings, briefings, policy events, and other relevant meetings, preparing concise summaries and key takeaways.

Candidates should be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university, preferably pursuing a degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Government, International Relations, Business, Economics, Communications, or a related field. A demonstrated interest in government relations, public policy, legislative affairs, or related areas is essential. Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills are required, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise summaries. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are necessary. The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, learn new subject areas quickly, and manage multiple research or project assignments is also important.

The hourly pay range for this position is $23.50 to $30.00, determined by academic year, college major, line of business, and geography. To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Voyager Technologies fosters a culture where innovation thrives, curiosity is rewarded, and impact is real. As a company of doers, thinkers, and builders, Voyager is united by purpose and grounded in reality.
