Account Executive, Leonardo.ai (m/w/d) – Munich (German-speaking)
As an Account Executive for Leonardo.ai at Canva, you will be instrumental in expanding our generative AI platform's presence across Germany and the DACH region. Leonardo.ai empowers creators, designers, game studios, and brands to produce high-quality images and videos swiftly. Since its integration into Canva in 2024, the platform has been at the forefront of bringing generative AI to diverse teams and businesses. This role is based in Munich, reflecting Canva's growing enterprise presence in Germany.
In this position, your primary responsibilities will include building and nurturing relationships with potential customers, understanding their creative workflows, and tailoring Leonardo.ai solutions to meet their specific needs. You will proactively prospect and engage with target organizations, ranging from game studios and creative agencies to media companies and global brands, employing high-touch outbound strategies. Your role will also involve preparing and delivering compelling pitches and demos, conducting structured discovery processes, and addressing enterprise concerns related to generative AI, such as security, intellectual property, and responsible use. Collaboration with Legal and Security teams will be essential to successfully close deals. Additionally, you will manage your sales pipeline using our CRM system and work closely with the Success team to ensure a seamless transition for new customers. Partnering with Marketing on events and campaigns will be key to driving new business, and your insights will contribute to shaping the Leonardo.ai product roadmap.
To excel in this role, you should have several years of B2B sales experience, ideally managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Comfort in initiating conversations with senior stakeholders and engaging with multiple decision-makers is crucial. The ability to simplify complex products into compelling narratives for customers is essential. Strong organizational skills to manage a diverse pipeline effectively are necessary. A keen interest in generative AI and creative tools, coupled with a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment, will be advantageous. Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken, is required, as you will be engaging with German-speaking customers.
