The Senior Account Manager, SMB at Braze is responsible for managing a portfolio of growth customers, ensuring they maximize value through the use of Braze's customer engagement platform. This role combines elements of consulting, business analysis, project management, and sales, offering the opportunity to work with leading brands and deepen expertise in multi-channel consumer engagement, mobile marketing automation, APIs, and analytics.

Key responsibilities include owning the commercial relationship with clients, driving product adoption, and achieving upsell and renewal targets. The role involves proactive analysis of customer product usage to identify growth opportunities, effective communication of customer feedback to the Braze product team, and cross-department collaboration with Success, Sales, Product, Legal, and Marketing teams. Additionally, the Senior Account Manager coordinates resources to drive feature adoption and works with Account Executives and other Success Partners to ensure seamless client transitions from pre-sales through onboarding and into ongoing service usage.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in renewing and expanding existing SaaS solutions contracts across various verticals, with typical deal sizes ranging from $25k to $500k per year. Ideal candidates will have a background in selling email, analytics, CRM, marketing automation, and/or content marketing solutions. Proven success in navigating large organizations, identifying decision-makers, and understanding decision-making processes for SMB customer segments is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills, experience with CRM tools like Salesforce, excellent organizational and time management abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple competing priorities are also required.

The compensation for this position ranges from $68,100 to $94,600 annually, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $136,200 and $189,100, including bonus or commission. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs), allowing employees to own a piece of the company.
