The company is seeking an Account Specialist to join their team in Iowa City, IA. This remote-based role requires flexibility and willingness to travel within a specified region and for company-related purposes as needed.
In this position, the Account Specialist will be responsible for executing territory business plans to achieve and exceed sales goals. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare providers and key stakeholders, driving product adoption through effective customer engagement and education, navigating complex patient pathways to support therapy access, and collaborating with Market Access, Strategic Accounts, Patient Services, and Medical teams to optimize customer and patient outcomes. Additionally, the role involves supporting launch execution, leveraging field insights to inform strategy, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company policies.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of direct sales experience in CNS or specialty pharmaceuticals, with a deep understanding of complex patient pathways and specialist prescriber dynamics. Experience in recent product launches, formulary access strategies, and early market penetration tactics is highly preferred. Familiarity with hospital systems, IDNs, institutional accounts, specialty pharmacy, and hub services models is advantageous. A proven track record of strong, consistent performance against quota and territory goals is essential.
The annualized base salary for this role ranges from $160,000 to $192,000 USD.
