Bird, a global leader in micromobility, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team. This role reports directly to the VP of Controllership and is integral to overseeing the end-to-end close processes, ensuring the production of comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial statements. The Accounting Manager will collaborate closely with Finance, Treasury, and Operations teams, implementing structures and internal controls to support the company's rapid expansion.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining a detailed Month-End Close Schedule, preparing monthly close journal entries, and conducting general ledger account reconciliations. The role also involves preparing monthly consolidated and regional flux analyses, partnering with various departments to refine accounting systems and workflows, assisting with annual audit requests, recording monthly payroll journal entries, and supporting technical accounting initiatives to ensure compliance with US GAAP.

Candidates should possess a university degree or college diploma in Finance or a related discipline, with a minimum of six years of experience in accounting or finance, including at least one year in a managerial role. A CPA license is required, along with a thorough understanding of US GAAP. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility in a constantly changing environment, strong management and team-building skills, and experience managing the complexities of multi-entity and multi-national organizations.
