Accounting Manager

Our client, a well-established and growing farming company, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role will play a key part in managing financial processes, supporting strategic decision-making, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes, and maintaining and enforcing internal controls to safeguard company assets. Additionally, the role involves monitoring cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities, coordinating with external auditors, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting is essential, as well as experience with accounting software and ERP systems. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and strong communication and leadership abilities are also required. The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is crucial.
