Accounts Payable Assistant
Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join its Accounting Department in the Columbia, South Carolina office. This role is integral to the firm's financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable functions within a dynamic legal environment.
The Accounts Payable Assistant will be responsible for preparing batches of invoices and expense payments, communicating with vendors regarding payments, and maintaining up-to-date vendor records. Additionally, the role involves sending domestic and foreign wire transfers, as well as researching and resolving wire validation errors and returned wires.
The ideal candidate should have 2 to 3 years of accounts payable and wire processing experience, demonstrating proficiency in computer applications and the ability to work under pressure. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, along with a keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high accuracy in financial data entry.
