Bird, a global leader in micromobility, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Controls Specialist to oversee key accounts payable (AP) operational processes in a global environment. This fully remote role requires a high level of ownership, autonomy, and continuous engagement.

The Accounts Payable & Controls Specialist will support and oversee weekly payment runs, act as an escalation point for payment inquiries and vendor issues, reconcile vendor balances, and manage vendor credits, refunds, and prepayments. The role also involves reviewing and monitoring invoice coding to ensure accuracy, partnering with Accounting to design and implement a consistent invoice coding process, and proactively identifying and correcting miscoding. Additionally, the specialist will own the AP ledger, AP reconciliations, corporate credit cards, and expense report accounts.

Candidates should have 4–7 years of experience in Accounts Payable, AP Operations, or related roles, with a strong understanding of AP controls, vendor reconciliations, and payment processes. Experience working with ERP systems and corporate credit card platforms is essential. The role requires high attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment. Excellent communication skills in English are also necessary.
