Acoustics Engineer
is seeking an Acoustics Engineer to join our team in San Diego, California. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop the next generation of smart home security products, including cameras and doorbells. Your expertise in acoustics will be instrumental in integrating high-quality audio components into our devices.
As an Acoustics Engineer, you will work closely with mechanical engineers to design and implement speaker and microphone systems that meet waterproofing requirements. You will collaborate with electrical engineers to address power and thermal considerations and partner with firmware engineers to develop acoustic echo cancellers. Additionally, you will liaise with overseas manufacturers to establish specifications and testing protocols.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in acoustics or a related field, along with over five years of experience in consumer electronics focusing on acoustics. Proficiency in designing and testing MEMS microphone systems and speaker systems is essential. Experience with waterproofing techniques for audio components and the ability to set up demonstrations for diverse audiences are also required. Strong collaboration skills and experience working with international manufacturing partners are highly valued.
