AI Research Engineer
As an AI Research Engineer at Graphcore, you will contribute to advancing AI research by exploring innovative ideas that address significant AI and machine learning challenges. In this role, you will generate AI and machine learning ideas, design and implement experiments, and evaluate results. You will prepare, submit, and present your work at AI conferences and workshops. Additionally, you will provide technical insights to internal teams by designing experiments and delivering clear, actionable reports. Collaboration with researchers, silicon, and software engineers will be essential to help define, build, and test Graphcore's next generation of AI hardware.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's, PhD, or equivalent experience in a technical discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or Chemistry. Proficiency in Python programming within modern deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or JAX is required. A strong understanding of deep learning fundamentals, including models, optimization, evaluation, and scaling, is essential. Experience in lower-level programming for hardware efficiency, such as C++, CUDA, or Triton, is also necessary. Practical familiarity with hardware capabilities for deep learning and software stacks for deep learning is expected.
