AI SoC Validation / Bring-up Lead
Graphcore is seeking an AI SoC Validation / Bring-up Lead to spearhead the post-silicon validation of our next-generation AI system-on-chip (SoC). This role is pivotal in ensuring that pre-production software operates reliably on new silicon and that the silicon meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and functionality for production deployment. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for post-silicon validation across the full AI SoC, collaborating closely with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include defining and leading the post-silicon validation strategy to ensure timely delivery of validated silicon with architectural correctness and feature robustness. The role involves driving cross-domain debugging and issue resolution, addressing complex issues spanning silicon, firmware, operating systems, and platform interactions. Additionally, the candidate will promote collaboration among design, software, and validation teams to align on quality objectives and debug priorities, advance automation and scalable validation through emulation and prototyping, and foster continuous improvement in validation methods and analysis.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent, with a Master's preferred. A minimum of 20 years in silicon, system, or platform validation, including over 10 years in technical leadership, is required. Proven experience in leading post-silicon validation and bring-up for complex SoCs (AI, GPU, or CPU) is essential. Strong understanding of SoC architecture, coherency protocols, power management, and interconnects is necessary. Expertise in debug tools, DFT infrastructure, and validation automation frameworks, along with proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Linux-based environments, is expected. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills are also crucial.
Graphcore offers a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements, a generous annual leave policy, private medical insurance, a health cash plan, a dental plan, pension matched up to 5%, life assurance, and income protection. Additional benefits include a generous parental leave policy, an employee assistance program covering health and mental wellbeing, and a range of healthy food and snacks at our central Bristol office, including a barista bar.
Joining Graphcore means becoming part of a diverse team committed to continuous learning and innovation. We value inclusivity and strive to create a work environment that is a great home for everyone. This role offers the opportunity to play a central role in developing advanced AI compute platforms that push the boundaries of performance and efficiency, working on technology that will have a significant impact on future AI systems.
