The AML Compliance – Testing & Monitoring Officer at Interactive Brokers (IBKR) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of the company's financial operations. In this role, the officer is responsible for developing and maintaining the Annual Financial Crimes test plan, coordinating daily execution with the offshore testing team, and ensuring that testing frameworks align with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Key duties include conducting testing and monitoring activities, analyzing test results to identify risk-based observations, and communicating deficiencies to business units and stakeholders. The officer also prepares executive reports summarizing test outcomes and contributes to the maintenance of the Global Financial Crimes Control Library. Collaboration with stakeholders across the Financial Crimes Compliance program and Engineering teams is essential, as is performing qualitative and quantitative analyses on financial crimes control data to assess risk and impact.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree and have over six years of experience evaluating Anti-Money Laundering (AML) controls within financial institutions, particularly in areas such as Investigations, Sanctions, Enhanced Due Diligence, and Suspicious Activity Reporting. Proficiency in SQL, Jira, and JQL queries is required, along with a solid understanding of U.S. and foreign AML regulatory regimes. Familiarity with financial crimes data and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is advantageous. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills are essential, as well as excellent oral and written communication abilities. Certifications such as ACAMS, CFE, CFCS, Series 7, or other FINRA licenses are considered a plus.

The compensation package for this role includes a competitive base salary ranging from $115,000 to $150,000 annually, based on skills and experience.
