As an Analog/Digital R&D Electronic Engineer at Helsing, you will be instrumental in designing and developing electronic board architectures for innovative marine robots. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including mechatronics engineers, embedded systems specialists, acoustics experts, and test engineers, to create robust and scalable solutions that enhance Helsing's advanced defense capabilities.

Your primary responsibilities will include owning subsystem electronic designs, participating in architectural development and decision-making processes, creating electronic architectures and specifications, selecting appropriate components, and developing schematics and layout designs in partnership with mechatronic engineers. Additionally, you will produce 3D and 2D documentation to ensure proper form, fit, and function of components, apply the latest design and drawing standards with manufacturing considerations, define and perform validation tests for technical maturation, and create comprehensive design documentation adhering to company guidelines and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in electronic design, including schematic and PCB design, and hold a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Strong knowledge of electronic component integration, preferably using ECAD/MCAD interfaces, is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required. Candidates should be keen on fast-track developments, capable of working independently from concept to validation, and enjoy working in a highly flexible environment.

Preferred qualifications include professional experience in the electrical design of maritime embedded systems or similar applications, EMC design and validation experience, and experience with hydrophone acquisition systems and underwater sensors.

Helsing offers a focus on outcomes rather than time-tracking, competitive compensation and stock options, relocation support, social and education allowances, regular company events to unite employees across Europe, and a hands-on onboarding program known as "Infraduction," where you will build tools and applications used company-wide, providing an opportunity to learn the tech stack and company operations from day one.
