The Asset Based Finance (ABF) Transaction Management Associate at Sixth Street will be integral to the firm's ABF team, which specializes in asset-backed financing, securitizations, and platform investments across diverse asset classes such as residential and commercial mortgages, consumer assets, commercial equipment, renewables and energy finance, infrastructure debt, and transportation. This role involves structuring and managing transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and asset eligibility requirements, and coordinating with various stakeholders to drive and streamline transaction processes.

Key responsibilities include directing transaction processes by reviewing due diligence and legal documentation, managing licensing and filing requirements, and standardizing transaction template forms. The associate will serve as a trusted team member in closing credit financings, securitization transactions, and other business arrangements, while coordinating with critical third-party relationships such as diligence providers, underwriters, custodians, rating agencies, trustees, and external counsel. Additionally, the role involves providing insights and support on program improvements and innovations, orchestrating efficiencies in transaction cycle workflows, and collaborating with internal stakeholders across the ABF business and broader Sixth Street platform, including legal, ESG committees, tax, KYC, capital formation, and compliance teams.

Candidates should possess experience in financings, securitization, and capital markets transactions, preferably with a major law firm or corporate law department. A strong understanding of legal and regulatory policy issues affecting securities and asset-backed securities (ABS), mortgage-backed securities (MBS), and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) markets is essential. The role requires creativity and problem-solving skills to effectively advise teams in collaboration with counsel and internal stakeholders, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree and membership in good standing in a state Bar with a minimum of 3 years of experience are required.

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $165,000 and $200,000, commensurate with the candidate's relevant experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and a competitive benefits package, including health, life, long-term and short-term disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan. The role also offers paid public holidays, paid sick days pursuant to local laws, and additional reasonable time off subject to manager approval.
