Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Jersey City, NJ office. In this position, you will develop compelling case strategies, manage court appearances, conduct depositions, engage in motion practice, and participate in trials. Collaboration with attorneys and staff at all experience levels is essential, as is maintaining consistent and professional communication with clients. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior attorneys, contributing to the growth and success of the team.

The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and hold an active bar license in the state of New Jersey. We are seeking individuals with 1–8 years of solid litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation. The ability to independently manage a full caseload from discovery through trial is crucial. Prior insurance defense experience is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

We offer a competitive compensation package, with a base salary ranging from $100,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus, and we provide comprehensive benefits coverage, including plans available at zero employee cost.
