Associate, Competition

DLA Piper is seeking an Associate to join its global Competition team in Brussels, Belgium. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of competition law matters within a leading international law firm.

As an Associate, you will be responsible for advising clients on merger control issues, representing them before the European Commission and national regulators in competition investigations and market studies, and providing guidance on State Aid matters. You will also offer counsel on various aspects of behavioral and commercial competition law, collaborate closely with the international DLA Piper competition team, and proactively engage in business development initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer in an EU jurisdiction with 5 to 8 years of competition law experience gained at a leading law firm. A deep understanding of technical issues, experience advising international clients, and fluency in English and Dutch are essential. Strong communication, client relations, and team-working skills, along with a proactive and innovative approach, are highly valued.
