The (Associate) Director of Biostatistics at Centessa Pharmaceuticals will oversee clinical development planning and execution across multiple therapeutic areas, focusing primarily on late-phase clinical studies. This role involves leading statistical strategies and methodologies to ensure alignment with clinical development objectives and regulatory expectations. The position reports to the Executive Director of Biostatistics and plays a critical role in influencing clinical development strategy and decision-making.

Key responsibilities include leading biostatistics efforts within a team setting, collaborating on clinical development plans for various molecules, and determining innovative study designs and appropriate statistical methods to meet study and regulatory requirements. The role also involves authoring and reviewing statistical sections for protocols, overseeing the planning and analysis of data sources, and guiding third-party statistical vendors in executing relevant deliverables. Additionally, the (Associate) Director will oversee Data Monitoring Committee meetings and collaborate with Data Management to ensure data integrity and quality.

Candidates must possess a PhD in Statistics or Biostatistics and have over 10 years of post-PhD experience applying statistical methods in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience supporting late-stage (registrational) trials, including regulatory submissions, is essential. Proficiency in SAS and/or R programming languages, hands-on experience with CDISC standards, and the ability to work in a cross-functional matrix environment are required. Strong oral and written communication skills are also necessary.

The annual base salary range for the Director level is $190,000 to $250,000, while the Associate Director level ranges from $170,000 to $225,000. Compensation is determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience. The role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and participation in the company's equity program.
