Associate Director/Director, Statistical Programming
Structure Therapeutics is seeking an Associate Director of Statistical Programming to provide functional expertise and leadership to clinical project teams. This role involves leading statistical programming teams, establishing and maintaining the Statistical Programming function, qualifying an in-house statistical computing environment, and developing and maintaining standard operating procedures, processes, and tools. The Associate Director will also perform hands-on work for these deliverables.
Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive programming leadership and support to complex clinical project teams and vendors, including deploying programming strategies, standards, specifications, and programmed analyses to comply with regulatory requirements. The role also involves overseeing, managing, and performing internal statistical programming activities such as data validation, consistency checks, and data listings; planned tables, figures, and listings for clinical study reports, development safety update reports, and investigator brochures; and exploratory analyses for publications, regulatory responses, and internal decision-making. Additionally, the Associate Director will establish and maintain processes, tools, and standards relating to the production of all programmed deliverables, manage and mentor contract statistical programmers and contract research organizations, develop processes and tools to drive efficiency and quality, and work with data managers, statisticians, and study team members to determine project needs and priorities.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Life Sciences. They should possess at least 8 years of experience with SAS programming in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or contract research organization industry. Advanced SAS programming skills, including SAS/BASE, SAS/Macro, SAS/SQL, and plotting procedures, are required. The candidate should have advanced knowledge and understanding of CDISC (SDTM, ADaM, define.xml) standards and implementations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a proven ability to solve problems working both independently and in teams, and experience with alternative programming and mark-up languages (e.g., R, Python, XML) and/or data structures (e.g., XML, JSON) are desirable but not essential.
The target salary range for this full-time role is $187,000 to $235,400, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Structure Therapeutics determines salary ranges based on the level and scope of responsibilities, as well as location. Individual pay is further determined by additional factors, including relevant experience, specific job skills, education, and training.
