Associate Director - Social
The Associate Director - Social at WPP Media will lead the development and execution of comprehensive social media strategies across multiple platforms, including Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snapchat, X, Pinterest, and YouTube. This role involves close collaboration with teams in the United States, Europe, and Asia to deliver high-impact solutions in a multicultural environment. The position is based in Gurgaon, Hyderabad, or Mumbai, India.
Key responsibilities include acting as the primary contact for social media marketing across global markets, shaping cross-platform paid social media strategies, and ensuring best practices and innovation in social channel activations. The role also involves overseeing campaign setup, audience targeting, creative testing, optimization, and reporting across all social platforms, as well as partnering with creative teams to deliver platform-native assets that boost engagement and conversions. Additionally, the Associate Director will build strong partnerships with internal market teams, creative agencies, and platform representatives, and advise markets on social-first campaign strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a graduation or post-graduation degree in any stream and over 8 years of professional experience in digital media execution. Expertise in platforms such as Meta, Snapchat, Pinterest, and LinkedIn is essential, with additional knowledge of Reddit, TikTok, and X being advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is required, and familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Smartly, 4C, Scibids, Dataroma, and Google Studio is a plus. Experience managing multi-location media activation teams, training and maintaining quality standards at scale, and providing service to local teams from a centralized location is also important. A passion for digital marketing, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset are key attributes for success in this role.
