Associate File Formatting Engineer

The Associate File Formatting Engineer at Questel is a key member of the File Formatting Team, reporting directly to the File Formatting Team Leader. This role focuses on formatting, recreating, designing, and editing documents that combine text and graphics, adhering to established processes and guidelines. Questel is a global leader in intellectual property solutions, committed to facilitating innovation efficiently and sustainably.

In this position, the engineer is responsible for preparing documents for translation based on client requirements, estimating formatting time based on project complexity, and ensuring deliverables meet client expectations within set timeframes. The role also involves conducting final quality control and assurance of file formatting projects, collaborating with team members and leadership to maintain high-quality standards, and proactively reporting on task progress.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in languages or translation. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and elementary skills in Adobe Photoshop or similar file formatting software are essential. An intermediate level of English, strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are required. Effective communication and teamwork abilities, along with a willingness to work occasionally during non-standard hours, are also important.
