Associate General Counsel, Regulatory

Carrot is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel, Regulatory, to join its Legal team. This role focuses on employee benefits and ERISA compliance, providing strategic legal counsel to various business units within the company.

The Associate General Counsel will advise on ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA compliance related to HRA and other plan designs and claims processing in the U.S. Responsibilities include negotiating business associate agreements, reviewing benefit plan documents, and offering strategic advice on new product offerings, taxation, compliance, privacy, and state regulations concerning reproductive care.

Candidates must possess a J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing. A minimum of 5-8 years of legal experience with a significant focus on ERISA and employee benefits law is required. Strong knowledge of federal employee benefits law and healthcare privacy regulations is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Carrot offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package, including health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and a competitive compensation package. The starting base salary for this position ranges from $180,000 to $212,000, with actual compensation varying based on confirmed job-related skills and experience.
