Associate Scientist, MSAT (Cell & Gene Therapy)
The Associate Scientist, MSAT (Cell & Gene Therapy) at Legend Biotech US is a pivotal role within the Global Manufacturing & Technology team, based in Somerset, New Jersey. This position focuses on supporting cell therapy manufacturing processes through automation and efficient material management in a GMP-regulated environment. In this role, the Associate Scientist will perform cell culture enrichment, maintenance, and analytical assays using automated platforms and instruments. Additionally, they will manage the full ordering lifecycle via designated lab inventory platforms, including processing material requests and tracking shipments, ensuring the availability of materials essential for cell therapy manufacturing.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in biology, biotechnology, or a related life sciences field, with a Master's degree preferred. A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in cell therapy manufacturing operations or GMP biologics/cell manufacturing development is required, with a strong preference for experience in CAR-T, stem cell, or autologous/allogeneic therapies. High proficiency in aseptic techniques within a Grade B cleanroom environment and a working knowledge of cold-chain logistics are essential. Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills are necessary, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic, high-throughput setting.
The compensation for this role ranges from $83,711 to $104,637 annually.
