BD Advisor (3 month contract)
The BD Advisor (3-month contract) at Linklaters is a pivotal role within the firm's legal and business development teams, focusing on Capital Markets, M&A/PE, and Banking sectors. This position offers an opportunity to gain experience in a leading Magic Circle law firm, working closely with lawyers, managers, and global teams to deliver high-quality research, documentation, and coordination that drive client service excellence and support the firm's strategic goals.
Key responsibilities include supporting lawyers and BD teams with legal research, document preparation, and case management. The role also involves assisting in the development of pitch and panel submissions, preparing directory, award, and league table entries, and conducting client, market, and competitor research to inform legal strategies and client engagement. Additional duties encompass drafting, reviewing, and maintaining client-facing collateral, reports, and marketing materials, coordinating and supporting targeted campaigns, events, and initiatives, and maintaining and updating practice materials, mailing lists, and databases. Collaboration with global and regional teams to share best practices and drive strategic projects is also a key aspect of this role.
Candidates should have prior experience providing business development support within a professional services or law firm environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail, are essential. The ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and functions, analytical skills to interpret legal and market data, and experience producing accurate and quality documents, RFPs, and pitches are also required. A high degree of commercial acumen and strategic thinking, IT and social media literacy, and the ability to facilitate meetings and present effectively are important.
