Business Acceptance Specialist
The Business Acceptance Specialist at Linklaters plays a pivotal role within the firm's Legal & Risk department, focusing on managing risks associated with new and existing client and matter intake. This department operates globally, with offices in London, Germany, Hong Kong, and New York, and is responsible for overseeing conflicts of interest, client acceptance, and regulatory compliance.
In this role, the specialist will initiate and analyze conflict search results to identify and resolve legal and commercial conflicts. They will register client engagement terms, respond to related queries, and review information barrier requests to manage ethical walls. Additionally, the specialist will analyze and authorize IT requests with privacy or data protection implications and advise practice groups on audit letter responses. They will also manage share dealing and outside interest applications.
Candidates should have one to two years of experience in a legal or risk environment, preferably within an international firm. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach are essential. Fluency in English (C1 level) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft tools are required. The ability to build effective relationships and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, prioritize tasks, and work under multiple deadlines is crucial. Experience in managing conflicts of interest and understanding regulatory compliance is advantageous.
