The Business Development Associate role at SecurityScorecard is a pre-sales position within the Business Development Team, serving as the initial point of contact for prospective customers. This role involves setting up introductions with ideal customers and qualifying their needs, reporting to the Director of Business Development and collaborating closely with Field Sales Representatives (FSRs). Key responsibilities include booking meetings for FSRs, qualifying leads into opportunities, generating outbound pipelines using various tools, maintaining accurate database records, and meeting phone and email activity quotas. The role also involves collaborating with Marketing and Channel teams on ad hoc projects, mastering sales and research tools, researching prospective organizations that can benefit from SecurityScorecard’s cloud-based solutions, and identifying decision-makers within target organizations.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of experience in sales development, lead generation, or business development, with a proven track record of consistent and effective sales performance. Experience in crafting creative and persistent outbound sales messaging, excellent communication and presentation skills to connect with senior-level decision-makers, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with Outreach, and LinkedIn are required.

The estimated total compensation range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 (base plus bonus). Actual compensation is based on factors including skills, qualifications, and experience.
