Business Development Associate
The Business Development Associate at SecurityScorecard serves as the initial point of contact for prospective clients, focusing on identifying and engaging ideal customers. This role reports to the Director of Business Development and collaborates closely with Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) to drive the company's growth in the cybersecurity sector. SecurityScorecard, a leader in cybersecurity ratings, continuously evaluates over 12 million companies across 64 countries, providing organizations with insights to enhance their security posture.
Key responsibilities include booking meetings for FSRs, qualifying inbound leads, generating outbound leads, and maintaining accurate database records. The associate will also evangelize SecurityScorecard's products, collaborate with marketing and channel teams on various projects, and master sales and research tools. Additionally, the role involves researching prospective organizations that can benefit from the company's cloud-based solutions and identifying key decision-makers within those organizations.
Candidates should possess 1–2 years of experience in sales development, lead generation, or business development, preferably within B2B or SaaS environments. A proven track record of consistent and effective sales performance is essential. Strong communication, discovery, and presentation skills are required to effectively connect with and persuade senior-level decision-makers. Proficiency with Outreach, and LinkedIn is also necessary.
SecurityScorecard offers a competitive salary, stock options, health benefits, unlimited PTO, parental leave, and tuition reimbursements. The estimated total compensation range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000, comprising base salary and bonus. Employees may also be eligible for annual performance-based incentive compensation awards and equity, among other company benefits.
