Business Development Associate
The Business Development Associate at SecurityScorecard serves as the initial point of contact for prospective clients, focusing on identifying and engaging potential customers. This role is integral to the Business Development Team and reports directly to the Director of Business Development, collaborating closely with Field Sales Representatives (FSRs). SecurityScorecard, headquartered in New York City, is a global leader in cybersecurity ratings, continuously evaluating over 12 million companies across 64 countries.
Key responsibilities include booking meetings for FSRs, qualifying inbound leads, generating outbound leads, and maintaining accurate database records. The associate is expected to excel in phone and email communications, collaborate with marketing and channel teams on various projects, and master sales and research tools. Additionally, the role involves researching organizations that could benefit from SecurityScorecard's cloud-based solutions and identifying key decision-makers within those organizations.
Candidates should possess 1–2 years of experience in sales development, lead generation, or business development within B2B or SaaS environments. A proven track record of effective sales development performance, excellent communication and presentation skills, and proficiency with tools such as Outreach, and LinkedIn are essential. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask are also required.
The estimated total compensation for this position ranges from $60,000 to $70,000 annually, comprising base salary and bonus. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
