ClearSpace is seeking a CAD Engineer to join our dynamic team dedicated to advancing sustainable space operations. As a CAD Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing robotic systems essential for in-orbit servicing and space debris removal missions. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects that aim to ensure the long-term sustainability of space activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs and drawings using CAD software, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop robotic products from specification through to validation and testing. Your day-to-day tasks will include managing mechanical and thermal interfaces, performing structural and thermal analyses, and preparing and executing functional performance and environmental tests. Additionally, you will document design and test activities and support the development of world-class robotics simulation and testing capabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in robotics or mechanisms engineering within the space industry. Experience throughout the engineering lifecycle, including system definition, design, build, test, and on-orbit operations, is essential. Proficiency in CAD software and a strong understanding of mechanical and thermal analysis are also required.
