Category Manager / Specialist
Wolt is seeking a Category Manager/Specialist to join our team in Bratislava, Slovakia. In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing the product assortment and trading plan, including pricing and promotions, as well as developing relationships with suppliers to enhance category performance within the country. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to strategic projects aimed at improving commercial performance and to participate in the learning and development of the local category team.
Key responsibilities include full ownership of assigned category performance, encompassing forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on business metrics. You will define and continuously update Wolt Market’s assortment at the store level to meet customer needs and optimize order economics. Leading effective negotiations with suppliers to establish joint goals, improve cost structures, and sustainably grow the profit and loss statement is also a critical aspect of this role. Additionally, you will work cross-functionally with teams across in-stock management, marketing, finance, and retail systems to operate and grow the business.
The ideal candidate will have experience in grocery retail, key account management, or a consulting environment, with a proven track record of delivering results. Experience in category management is essential. Strong communication skills and experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders are required. The role demands strong analytical skills and the ability to think both strategically and operationally with attention to detail. Full professional proficiency in English and a relevant local language is necessary, along with excellent skills in G Suite or MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
The compensation for this position ranges from €2,497 to €3,568 per month, depending on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. Additional benefits and perks are available and can be discussed with our Talent Acquisition Partner during the application process.
