Category Manager (WM)

The Category Manager at Wolt Market is responsible for building and managing the assortment and trading plan, including pricing and promotions, for the Cypriot market. This role involves developing strong relationships with suppliers and taking full ownership of category performance across assigned categories. The Category Manager collaborates closely with various teams to ensure optimal product offerings and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on category performance, as well as driving projects and trading strategies to achieve business goals. The Category Manager defines and continuously updates the assortment at the store level to meet customer needs and optimize order economics. Effective negotiation with suppliers is essential to establish joint goals, improve cost structures, and sustainably grow the profit and loss statement. Additionally, the role involves influencing category design, contributing to new product groups, and enhancing the customer experience to drive growth.

The ideal candidate has experience in grocery retail, category management, key account management, consulting, or a similar commercial environment, with a proven track record of delivering results, ideally with strong exposure to fresh categories. Strong experience in supplier negotiations and commercial planning is required, along with excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights. The candidate should be able to think both strategically and operationally, with high attention to detail, and possess strong communication skills for negotiating with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in G Suite or MS Office, especially Excel, is necessary, as well as full professional proficiency in English and Greek.
