Category Manager (WM)

Wolt is seeking a Category Manager to join our Wolt Market team in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This role involves managing the assortment and trading plan, including pricing and promotions, and developing strong relationships with suppliers to oversee category performance. As part of Wolt Market, our own grocery stores, the Category Manager will contribute to delivering exceptional convenience and customer experience.

Key responsibilities include full ownership of assigned category performance, encompassing forecasting, monitoring, and reporting. The role involves defining and updating store-level assortments to meet customer needs and optimize order economics. Effective negotiation with suppliers to establish joint goals, improve cost structures, and sustainably grow the P&L is essential. Additionally, the Category Manager will influence category design, contribute to new product groups, and enhance customer experience to drive growth.

The ideal candidate has experience in grocery retail, category management, key account management, consulting, or a similar commercial environment, with a proven track record of delivering results. Strong experience in supplier negotiations and commercial planning is required. The role demands strong analytical skills, the ability to translate data into actionable insights, and the capacity to think both strategically and operationally with high attention to detail. Proficiency in English and Slovenian is essential.
