Chief Financial Officer
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead all financial operations for a publicly traded community bank with approximately $500 million in assets. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the bank's financial strategy and ensuring its fiscal health. This position offers a unique opportunity for a hands-on finance leader to step into a key decision-making role within the organization.
Key responsibilities include overseeing accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting processes. The CFO will manage regulatory reporting requirements, such as Call Reports, and coordinate audit processes to ensure compliance. Additionally, the role involves partnering with executive leadership and the Board to develop and implement financial strategies, managing liquidity and capital planning, and participating in the Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO) to provide insights into interest rate risk and net interest margin (NIM). Ensuring adherence to all banking regulations and maintaining robust internal controls are also critical aspects of the role.
The ideal candidate will have experience within a bank or financial institution, with a strong understanding of regulatory reporting, including Call Reports. Experience interacting with regulators such as the FDIC, OCC, or Federal Reserve is essential. A background in liquidity management, capital planning, and managing loan and deposit mixes is highly desirable. Proven leadership experience within accounting and finance is required, and while a CPA designation is a plus, it is not mandatory.
This role offers direct access to the CEO and executive leadership, providing high visibility and influence across the organization. The bank is known for its strong culture and tenure, offering a stable and well-run environment. This position presents an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative setting, contributing significantly to the bank's ongoing success.
