Benesch, a growing multi-disciplined planning, engineering, and professional services firm, is seeking a Civil Site Development Group Manager to lead and expand their North Carolina Division Civil Site Group. This role is based in either the Charlotte or Raleigh office and offers opportunities to work on diverse civil site projects, including stormwater management, site design, parking lot design, roadway, water, and sewer improvements.

As the Civil Site Development Group Manager, you will oversee and grow the Civil Site Group, encompassing design and construction administration services. Your responsibilities include managing project teams, ensuring staffing, budgeting, and scheduling are effectively handled. You will also contribute to strategic growth initiatives, develop and maintain client relationships, represent Benesch at industry events, identify and lead strategic project pursuits, collaborate on divisional and regional growth strategies, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and engage in business development and marketing activities.

The ideal candidate will possess a Professional Engineer license in North Carolina or the ability to obtain it through reciprocity within three months. A minimum of 15 years of industry experience is required, along with a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software is essential. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are necessary, as well as experience interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders. An understanding of applicable codes and the North Carolina regulatory agencies and permitting process is important. Experience in project management, including design cost control, project budget control, and quality assurance/quality control, is also required.
