Clinical Counsel - Hospitals/Healthcare Providers, Texas
Axiom Law is seeking a Clinical Counsel to provide legal guidance on clinical operations and healthcare licensing matters for hospitals, large healthcare systems, and physician groups in Texas. This role involves serving as the primary legal advisor, focusing on practical, business-oriented counsel to navigate the complexities of healthcare regulations.
Key responsibilities include managing pharmacy and nursing licensing activities, advising on clinical operations issues such as scope of practice and delegation, and identifying legal and regulatory risks related to clinical operations. The Clinical Counsel will also draft, review, and negotiate contracts and policies, monitor changes in healthcare laws, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new initiatives and market expansions.
Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with eligibility to practice in Texas preferred. A minimum of five years of legal experience in healthcare, particularly in clinical operations and healthcare licensing, is required. Experience advising on pharmacy and nursing licensing, as well as a strong understanding of scope of practice and related regulatory constraints, is essential.
The estimated total compensation for this full-time role ranges from $104,500 to $325,000 per year, based on factors such as experience, skills, and business needs.
