Cloud Alliances Business Development Lead
Canonical is seeking a Cloud Alliances Business Development Lead to coordinate go-to-market strategies with tier 1 cloud partners. This role involves developing joint product roadmaps, driving delivery, and formulating go-to-market plans to support Canonical's products. The position is remote, based in the Americas region, and requires up to 25% international travel for conferences and partnership engagements.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with product, engineering, alliance, and marketing teams at cloud partners to align on open-source strategies. The role involves capturing partner requirements, evaluating gaps, and identifying opportunities for Canonical. Additionally, the position requires coordinating with marketing and product teams on messaging, content creation, and launch plans, as well as creating partner- and customer-facing materials like reference architectures, joint blueprints, webinars, presentations, videos, and white papers.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in science, technology, or engineering, along with experience in software development and system architecture. Customer-facing experience in software engineering, product management, business development, technology strategy, or similar functions is essential. Excellent communication skills across all levels of stakeholders, the ability to grasp complex material and synthesize key points, and the capacity to think and work at both strategic and tactical levels are also required.
