Cloud Platform Engineer

8am is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to join our Platform Engineering Organization, responsible for managing the software and infrastructure that support our payments platform and practice management software. Serving over 200,000 legal professionals and processing more than $18 billion in payments annually, 8am is dedicated to empowering professionals with innovative technology solutions.

In this role, you will automate deployment, monitoring, and management of our AWS cloud-based infrastructure. You will develop and maintain internal tooling and automation to enhance developer productivity, create and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the release process, and collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks in the development process. Additionally, you will participate in an on-call rotation to provide emergency support as needed.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in software engineering or AWS cloud operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role. Proficiency in implementing and maintaining Kubernetes-specific CI/CD pipelines, experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, and a solid understanding of Linux container technologies are essential. Strong programming skills in languages such as Ruby, Python, Java, JavaScript (NodeJS), or Bash are also required.

8am offers a competitive compensation package, including an annual salary range of $110,000 to $165,000, along with annual bonuses and equity options.
