Together AI is seeking a Commercial Counsel to oversee both infrastructure agreements and go-to-market (GTM) deals. This role involves collaborating with teams across Infrastructure, Sales, Finance, Security, and Procurement to facilitate swift operations while managing associated risks. The company is a research-driven AI firm committed to advancing open and transparent AI systems.

In the infrastructure domain, the Commercial Counsel will lead negotiations for GPU and cloud capacity, colocation, power, data center space, networking, and related services. They will ensure that these agreements align with commitments made in customer contracts, particularly concerning capacity, service levels, security, and data protection. Additionally, the role involves managing export and trade-control requirements and developing standardized templates and processes to streamline infrastructure deal-making.

Regarding GTM responsibilities, the Commercial Counsel will manage enterprise commercial agreements, including master agreements, order forms, data processing terms, security exhibits, and NDAs. They will support various partnership structures, such as collaboration, reseller, and co-sell agreements. The role also entails creating templates and workflows to make sales deals repeatable and efficient.

Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (JD) and an active bar license in good standing. A minimum of five years of experience in commercial and technology transactions, including substantial in-house experience at an infrastructure company, is required. Expertise in data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA), regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, EU Data Act, DORA), and security terms is essential. Familiarity with export controls and related regulatory requirements, such as the FCPA, is also necessary. The ideal candidate will have a clear communication style, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to engage with AI tools to enhance efficiency.

Together AI offers competitive compensation, startup equity, health insurance, and other benefits. The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 to $230,000, plus equity and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by location, level, and role, with individual compensation based on experience, skills, and job-related knowledge.
