Commercial Finance Intern/Working Student
As a Commercial Finance Intern/Working Student at Helsing, you will be an integral part of the intersection between Finance, Procurement, and Engineering teams. In this position, you will track and manage product costs throughout their lifecycle, ensuring transparency against targets and enhancing the Product Cost Reporting capability. Your responsibilities include building and refining bottom-up "Should Cost" models for manufacturing components, identifying cost optimization opportunities through Value Engineering analysis, and supporting supplier negotiations with data-driven cost breakdowns. Additionally, you will assist in day-to-day accounting operations, such as processing travel expenses and maintaining data in SAP, while contributing to the creation of Business Process Documentation and training materials for Finance-related SAP processes.
The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in a degree program in Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field. A working knowledge of cost accounting principles, including familiarity with concepts such as bill of materials, overhead allocation, or manufacturing cost structures, is essential. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, and experience with SAP or cost modeling tools are highly desirable. Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams are crucial for success in this role.
