Compensation Partner
Thinking Machines Lab is seeking a Compensation Partner to join our Operations team in San Francisco, California. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing the company's compensation framework to attract and retain top talent. The Compensation Partner will collaborate closely with managers and leadership to make informed pay decisions and establish a comprehensive compensation strategy.
Key responsibilities include designing and executing the overall compensation framework, advising on pay decisions for offers, promotions, and retention, and building the equity compensation framework in partnership with finance and leadership. The role also involves conducting market research and analysis to inform compensation strategies and effectively communicating compensation structures to candidates and employees.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of compensation experience in a high-growth environment, with a proven track record of building compensation programs from the ground up. Experience in competitive and dynamic talent markets, particularly within AI labs or high-growth tech companies, is preferred. Familiarity with compensation landscapes across research, engineering, and non-technical functions is also advantageous.
