Compliance Officer
The Compliance Officer at Amherst will assist the Chief Compliance Officer in implementing and managing Amherst Residential's compliance program. This role involves close collaboration with the Investment Banking, Portfolio Management, and Investment Operations teams to identify and address compliance risks, ensuring the company's adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Key responsibilities include conducting compliance risk assessments, developing and updating policies, and extending the compliance program to subsidiaries and related entities. The Compliance Officer will also review and approve marketing materials, coordinate compliance training initiatives, and produce regulatory deliverables and reports. Additionally, the role involves supporting due diligence processes and responding to compliance inquiries both internally and externally.
Candidates should possess an MBA degree or professional certification, with at least five years of relevant auditing or compliance experience in real estate or alternative asset management. A strong understanding of Enterprise Compliance Risk Management and best practices is essential. The role requires excellent investigative, problem-solving, and analytical abilities, along with strong communication skills and the capacity to manage multiple projects independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is also required.
