Compliance Product Officer Wealth Markets
The Compliance Product Officer for Wealth Markets at Citi is a Vice President-level position within the Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) team. This role is based in Jersey City, New Jersey, and involves providing comprehensive compliance advisory services to the Wealth Markets business. The officer collaborates with business management, Legal, and other control functions to design, implement, and maintain a robust compliance risk management framework aligned with Citi's risk appetite. The primary focus is on complex products and transactions, particularly structured notes, FX, and Commodities products, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include serving as a Compliance Risk Officer for Wealth Markets desks, offering guidance on compliance risks, regulatory interpretation, and control environment matters. The officer provides advice on laws, rules, regulations, internal policies, and procedures applicable to Wealth Markets products and activities, such as structured notes, FX, and Commodities products. Additionally, the role involves supporting the business in performing timely compliance reviews of new products and product programs, monitoring compliance risks associated with product development, and partnering closely with various internal stakeholders to identify, assess, and remediate compliance risks.
Candidates should have 6-10 years of experience in compliance, legal, or other control-related functions within financial services firms, regulatory organizations, or legal/consulting firms. A strong understanding of relevant compliance laws, rules, regulations, and risks applicable to Wealth Markets products is essential, including FINRA requirements and Regulation Best Interest. Demonstrated knowledge of structured notes and complex investment products, as well as FX and Commodities products, is required. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are necessary, along with analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is expected, and a bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
The compensation for this role ranges from $142,320 to $213,480 per year, with additional incentives and retention awards.
