Conflicts Analyst
Clifford Chance, a leading international law firm with over 30 offices worldwide, is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join their team. This role is integral to the firm's risk management function, focusing on identifying and resolving conflicts of interest across the firm's global practice. The position is based in Houston, Texas, and reports to the Conflicts Team Manager – Americas.
As a Conflicts Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering information from established databases and attorneys to determine potential conflicts of interest. You will assess whether new mandates or changes to existing mandates can be accepted within the context of conflicts, regulatory rules, and internal policies. Conducting research in public databases and the firm's conflict management systems, you will analyze findings and present results in a timely and organized manner. Additionally, you will respond to inquiries regarding conflicts of interest and other engagement risk issues, provide ad hoc reports on clients, and assist with lateral hire conflict checks.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant conflicts analysis experience in a law firm or professional services firm. A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a client service mindset are essential. The ability to gather and analyze information to make effective decisions and solve problems, work under pressure, and prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines is crucial. Proficiency in MS Office and adaptability to new software are required. Candidates must be independently authorized to work in the United States.
Clifford Chance offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $125,000 annually, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
