Clifford Chance is seeking a Construction Associate with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience to join their growing Construction practice in Sydney. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Katie Joukadjian, who leads the transactional Construction practice in Australia, and to collaborate with leading professionals in M&A, Energy & Infrastructure, Real Estate, and Project Finance teams. The position provides exposure to complex infrastructure, energy, and transport projects both domestically and across the APAC and MENA regions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and negotiating complex construction contracts, such as EPC, D&C, GMP, ITC, and ECI agreements, and ancillary project documentation. They will advise on procurement strategies and project structuring, support clients across sectors including transport, energy, social infrastructure, and commercial development, and work with interdisciplinary teams on complex, cross-border matters.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in front-end construction work at a leading firm. Strong drafting and analytical skills, a practical approach to problem-solving, the ability to work collaboratively and manage timelines, and a desire to contribute to a supportive, high-performing team are essential. A curious and motivated approach to learning, with the confidence to take initiative and contribute proactively, is also desired.

Clifford Chance offers a dynamic and inclusive work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development. Employees benefit from working on high-profile projects, access to comprehensive training programs, and the chance to collaborate with a diverse and talented team across the globe.
