Continuing Legal Education Intern
The Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Intern at Practising Law Institute (PLI) will join a dedicated team in Manhattan for the summer. PLI is a nonprofit organization renowned for providing innovative legal education programs, publications, and resources to the legal community. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to PLI's mission of delivering high-quality continuing legal education.
The intern will be responsible for learning and applying learning assessment best practices aligned with adult education standards. Key tasks include reviewing and analyzing PLI programs and content to understand learning objectives and instructional design, using AI tools to assist in drafting assessment questions and learning objectives, and supporting the development of assessments that meet regulatory standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) self-study accreditation. Additionally, the intern will assist in building a CPE self-study assessment for a book-based learning module and collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments.
Candidates should be recent 2026 undergraduates, preferably with majors in Business, Accounting, or Finance, though all majors are welcome. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, along with strong communication and collaboration skills. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential. No prior professional experience is necessary, as this program is designed for entry-level candidates. Applicants must be available to participate in the program from June 8th through August 3rd, working Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm and Fridays from 9 am to 12:30 pm.
This is a paid internship with a salary of $18 per hour. Interns will gain hands-on experience in developing educational assessments and have the opportunity to work with AI tools, enhancing their skills in instructional design and legal education.
