Disco is seeking a Contract Specialist to join their team. This role is integral to managing the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to execution and compliance monitoring. The position is remote within the United States and is a 4-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension based on business needs.

As a Contract Specialist at Disco, you will draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners, ensuring they are clear, comprehensive, and aligned with organizational goals. You will monitor compliance with contract terms and applicable laws and regulations, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies. Collaboration with legal, finance, procurement, and operations teams is essential to facilitate contract execution and compliance, as well as to provide guidance on contract-related inquiries and issues. Maintaining an organized and accurate contract management database, ensuring timely contract renewals, amendments, and terminations, and tracking contract performance metrics to report on compliance and effectiveness are also key responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of experience in contract management or a similar role, a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school, and be in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar. A strong understanding of software and technology contracting, in-depth knowledge of contract law and regulations, and proficiency in contract management software such as Ironclad or Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite are required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills are essential.

While not mandatory, proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously are desirable. Experience with commercial and privacy contracting under United Kingdom, European, United States, and APAC laws at a recognized law firm or technology company is also beneficial.
