CONTRACTOR-Systems Engineer (Senior)
SoHo Dragon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team, representing an investment bank client. This hybrid role is based in New York, Jersey City, or Montreal, offering an opportunity to work on complex engineering projects within a dynamic financial services environment.
In this position, you will manage the full lifecycle of engineering projects, perform complex development tasks, and recommend solutions based on best practices. Responsibilities include collaborating with team members and management to ensure successful project execution, providing on-call support, troubleshooting technical issues, and continuously improving processes to enhance team efficiency. Additionally, you will document system architectures, workflows, and procedures, and maintain accurate system inventories.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with over 10 years of relevant experience. Expertise with IaaS SEG's Cisco IronPort is required, while knowledge of Proofpoint is a plus. Strong experience with Microsoft Email platforms, including Exchange Online/M365 and Exchange 2016/2019/SE, is essential. A deep understanding of email security controls, proficiency in PowerShell scripting, and solid experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Load Balancers, ADFS, Entra ID, and SAML are also necessary. Familiarity with Windows Server 2016/2019 environments, virtual machines, vendor appliances, and standard server engineering tools is expected. Strong troubleshooting skills, experience with ServiceNow, and exposure to company integrations during mergers and acquisitions are advantageous. Financial services industry experience and knowledge of Azure services/IaaS are beneficial.
