Contracts Manager
Canva's global Commercial Legal team is seeking a Contracts Manager to support its Enterprise sales, Canva for Education, and Procurement teams. This role involves preparing, negotiating, and managing contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. The Contracts Manager will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to address contract-related concerns and provide practical advice aligned with risk, deal structure, and internal policies.
Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements with customers and vendors, maintaining a database of contracts with key terms and obligations, and continuously improving templates and processes to enhance efficiency. The role also involves providing training sessions for the legal team and stakeholders on tools utilized during the contracting process and ensuring the maintenance and enhancement of AI tools throughout the contracting workflow.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience negotiating SaaS agreements in support of a sales team and reviewing vendor agreements. Proficiency with Ironclad, Salesforce, and AI tools for contract review and management is essential. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. The candidate should be proactive in identifying and analyzing opportunities and risks, solutions-focused, risk-aware, and a collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills. Comfort with live negotiations and the ability to prioritize and balance expectations effectively are also important.
