Contracts Manager
Dentons, the world's largest law firm, is seeking a Contracts Manager to join its Brussels office. This role is integral to the firm's operations, focusing on managing contractual matters across various projects and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. The Contracts Manager will collaborate closely with partners, lawyers, and business support teams to support the firm's strategic initiatives and client engagements.
The primary responsibilities include analyzing, advising, and monitoring contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle. The Contracts Manager will act as the key liaison between clients, project teams, and the central Contract Management department, ensuring alignment and effective communication. Tasks encompass supporting tender processes, managing contracts with clients and subcontractors, coordinating negotiations, and compiling claim files in collaboration with the Legal team. Additionally, the role involves monitoring contractual risks and opportunities, advising on mitigation strategies, and contributing to the improvement of internal processes and tools for contract management.
Candidates should possess a master's degree in law, economics, or engineering, coupled with at least five years of experience in contract management, project control, or project management within industrial or infrastructure projects. Experience with complex partnership structures and subcontractor management is essential, along with thorough knowledge of public procurement legislation. Fluency in Dutch and English is required, with proficiency in French considered an asset. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, and excellent organizational abilities.
