Controller
The Controller will oversee accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting, with a strong emphasis on work-in-progress (WIP) reporting and financial management. This role offers direct visibility and partnership with the CFO, providing an opportunity to elevate and build out the accounting function within the organization. Additionally, the Controller will be involved in an upcoming ERP implementation (Viewpoint/Vista), contributing to the company's growth and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include managing and leading the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and overseeing WIP and job costing processes. The Controller will also drive process improvements, implement internal controls, and collaborate with project managers to support financial decision-making. This hands-on leadership role requires a proactive approach to managing accounting operations and contributing to the company's strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Controller or a strong Assistant Controller ready to step up, with a background in construction or project-based accounting. A strong understanding of WIP and job costing is essential, along with the ability to lead and mentor a team effectively. The candidate should be comfortable working on-site and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
